It snowed here yesterday! And it actually stuck on the ground, which has never happened in the almost 4 years we've lived here.
Oliver was in heaven (he's my snow boy, it turns out). By the time he got home from school a lot of the snow in the yard had turned to mush, but he still stayed out there for hours, and managed to put together a little baby snowman.
They started school two hours later this morning, just in case things were icy and dangerous today (they weren't).
In unrelated news, here is a fabulous Valentine's card that Oliver made for me and Daniel:
(note the fancy writing on the front - he hasn't learned cursive yet, but he's trying to teach himself)
Thanks, Ollie! We think you're pretty great, too.

can i have him? he is way too cute. i love the card (especially "except jesus") and that snowman is so great. he seems like such a nice guy to have around.
Wow! I can't believe you guys got snow! I love that Ollie had to make a snowman. You should send him up here, we have PLENTY of snow, he could play all day long to his hearts content. Heck, maybe we should do a house swap, kind of like in that movie The Holiday. You guys come and enjoy our snow for a week and we'll come and enjoy the warmth of Texas! (well, once your snow is gone that is : )
Glad you included the card too. "except Jesus" is the funniest/cutest line!
Oliver is such a sweetheart. Oh, man.
i knew the snowman was a baby one, but then seeing it next to ollie and realizing how tiny it really was was so funny. it reminded me of his little halloween decorations that one year.
i'm glad he likes the parents he got!
That is really a lot of snow for over there! Everything must have looked so different. The snowman is so awesome and so is his little card. He's an amazing little boy.
